Create a file
You can create a new document in the My files section, as well as in the folders Shared and Common folders, if you have the permission for editing. When you perform an operation in the Flagged, Watched, Recent, and Trashsections, the document you are creating will be added to the My files section.
To create a new document in MyFiles:
1.Do one of the following:
•Click Add in the Navigation bar
•Right-click on an empty field in the workspace
•Click Add in the workspace of an empty folder.
•Click
MyFiles on the Navigation bar.
2.In the menu, select the type of object to create: document, spreadsheet, presentation, or whiteboard.
3.Select the desired document format to work in the editor and click Create.
As a result, the document opens in a new tab and is saved in the current folder (if you have the permission to edit it) or in the My files root folder (if you do not have the permission to edit the current folder).
If needed, add a document name by clicking on the New Document field. Enter a name in the Name field and click OK.
The file name should not duplicate an existing one.
Create a folder
You can create a new folder in the My files section, as well as in the folders of the Sharedand Common folders sections, if you have the permission to edit. When you perform an operation in the Flagged, Watched, Recent, and Trash sections, the folder you are creating will be added to the My files section.
To create a new folder in MyFiles:
1.Do one of the following:
•Click Add in the Navigation bar
•Right-click on an empty field in the workspace
•Click Add in the workspace of an empty folder.
2.In the menu, select the type of object to be created: Folder.
3.In the window, enter the name of the folder you are creating in the Name field and click OK.
The created folder will be displayed in the workspace of the current folder in the document storage and in the Navigation bar.
If needed, rename the folder and confirm the action by clicking ОК.
The folder name should not duplicate an existing one.
To expand or collapse the folder tree, click the
button on the Navigation bar to the left of the parent folder name.
As a result:
–The folder will be displayed in the workspace.
–The Toolbar will display the
Recent operations button which will become active.
–Information about the folder creation will appear in the list of recent operations.
