To clear direct formatting and only keep the style formatting, follow these steps:
1.Select the text or place the cursor in a paragraph to clear the formatting of the entire paragraph.
2.Execute the Clear formatting in one of the following ways:
•Click Edit > Clear formatting.
•On the Toolbar, click the 
Clear formatting button.
•Right-click the text and select the Clear formatting command from the shortcut menu.
•Press Ctrl+Space (
Cmd+Space).
