Extensions
Extension modules (plug-ins) are typically created by third-party developers and extend the functionality of spreadsheet editors.
To use an extension, do the following:
1.Get the extension files from the developer.
2.Install the extension.
3.Run the extension using the MyOffice Spreadsheet Command menu.
Install an extension
Extension files must be stored in one folder. You can choose any location on your computer to save this folder. To install an extension, follow the steps below: 1.On the Extensions menu, select Extension manager. 2.In the Extension manager window, click Install. 3.In the file manager window, select the extension file. 4.Read the text in the Install Extension window. If the window displays the “This extension is ready to be installed. Do you want to continue?” message, that means that the author of the extension is a verified developer and that the extension has been signed using a valid certificate. To view information about the developer's certificate, click Show details. To continue installing the extension, click Continue. We strongly recommend that you do not install extensions from an unverified developer or extensions with an invalid certificate. Installing such extensions can damage your computer.
5.In the License Agreement window, read the License Agreement. If you agree to the terms of use of the software set forth in this document, click Accept. The Extension Manager window displays the extension string. For detailed information about the installed extension, click Details on its string. If the installation is successful, the Installed status is displayed next to the extension. To enable an extension, follow the steps described in the section below. If the version of the extension is incompatible with the version of the spreadsheet editor, the " If the extension files contain errors, the following message will appear next to the extension: " •On the extension string, click Details. •Click the extension string. In the window that appears, click Show Details. |
Run an extension
After the successful installation of the extension, it will appear on the Extensions menu. To run the extension, on the Extensions menu, select the extension folder name and then the extension name. |
Enable or disable an extension
Once installed, all the extensions are enabled by default. If an extension is enabled, it will appear on the Extensions menu. If an extension is disabled, it will not appear on the Extensions menu. To disable an extension, follow the steps below: 1.In the Extensions menu, select Extension manager. 2.On the Extension manager window, select Disable next to the extension name. 3.Close the Extension manager window. The extension will no longer be displayed on the Extensions menu. To re-enable a disabled extension, follow the steps below: 1.On the Extensions menu, select Extension manager. 2.On the Extension manager window, select Enable next to the extension name. 3.Close the Extension manager window. The extension will be displayed on the Extensions menu. |
Update an extension
If you want to update an extension, put the new version files in one folder and store it anywhere on your computer. To update an extension, follow the steps below: 1.On the Extensions menu, select Extension manager. 2.On the Extension manager window, click Install. 3.In the file manager window, select the file of the new extension version. 4.Read the text in the Install Extension window. If the window displays the “This extension is ready to be installed. Do you want to continue?” message, that means that the author of the extension is a verified developer and that the extension has been signed using a valid certificate. To view information about the developer's certificate, click Show details. To continue installing the extension, click Continue. Remove an extension
To remove an extension, follow the steps below: 1.On the Extensions menu, select Extension manager. 2.On the Extension manager window, click 3.In the dialog box with the message "Are you sure you want to remove this extension?", click ОК. 4.Close the Extension manager window. The extension will no longer be displayed on the Extensions menu. |
