You can delete a link in several ways:

Using the Edit link window.

Using the context menu.

Using the Toolbar.

The link is deleted without the text that contains it.

To delete a link using the edit window, follow these steps:

1.Specify the link to delete:

If a cell contains only a link, select that cell or place the cursor on the link, or select part of the link/the entire link.

If a cell contains more than just a link or multiple links, place the cursor on the desired link or select part of the link/link in its entirety.

2.Open the link editing window in one of the following ways:

On the Insert tab, click t_insert_hyperlink Link.

When working in macOS, select Insert > Link command from the command menu.

Right-click to open the context menu and select the Edit link command.

Press Ctrl+K (Windows, Linux) or command Cmd+K (macOS).

3.In the Edit link window, click Delete link.

To delete a link using the context menu, follow these steps:

1.Specify the link to delete as described above.

2.Right-click to open the context menu and run the Delete link command.

To delete a link using the Toolbar, follow these steps:

1.Select the cell containing the link.

If a cell contains multiple links, they will all be removed. To remove individual links within a single cell, use the methods described above.

2.On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click the t_clear_button Clear button and select Delete links from the drop-down menu.

To delete multiple links simultaneously, select the cells that contain the links or the range of cells that includes the links and do one of the following:

Right-click the selected cells to open the context menu and select Delete links in it.

On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click the t_clear_button Clear button and select Delete links from the drop-down menu.

Links in hidden cells that fall within the selection are also deleted.

If you want to delete the link along with the text that contains it, follow these steps:

1.Specify the link to delete:

If a cell contains only a link, select that cell or switch to cell editing mode and select the entire link.

If the cell contains more than just a link, switch to the cell editing mode and select the entire link.

2.When working in Windows or Linux OS, press Delete or Backspace. When working in macOS, press Delete.
