How can we help you?
Application: Files Web version

Priority levels:

1.Objects hierarchy (folders and files). Shared access objects can have two types of permissions: direct and inherited. If the nested object:

has direct permissions, they take precedence over inherited permissions.

If direct permissions are not established, then inherited permissions apply to such an object.

2.Profile. Permissions to shared objects can be granted to individual users and/or a group of users. Thus, a user can have personal user permission to the same object, as well as the permissions of the group to which the user belongs. However:

If the user has personal access permissions granted to them for an individual user, they take permission precedence over the access permissions granted to the group.

If the user does not have personal access permissions, but the user belongs to several groups with different types of permissions, then the user will get access with a higher type of permissions.

3.Type of access permissions. The following types of permissions can be granted to objects: Owner, Manage, Edit, Comment, View, Access denied.

The Owner permission of access takes permission precedence over the permission Access denied.

Access denied permission takes precedence over the permission Manage.

Manage permission takes precedence over the Edit permission.

Edit access permission takes precedence over the Comment permission.

Comment access permission takes precedence over the View permission.
