Application: Files Web version

1.Select one or more objects in the list by clicking on their icons.

2.Use one of the copying methods:

On the Toolbar, click button_moreMore > menu_copyCreate a copy.

Right-click on the object and select Create a copy in the context menu.

3.In the window, select the folder to which the object will be copied. To create a new folder where an object will be placed:

Select a folder in the list to create a new one and click Create new folder.

Specify the name of the new folder and click OK. The created folder will be displayed as a sub-folder in the specified folder.

Select the location of the copy of the selected object.

4.Click Create a copy.

You can also copy an object by holding down the key Ctrl or ⌘Cmd (macOS ) and by dragging the object to the desired location with the mouse.

As a result:

The object will appear in the folder selected as the location of the copy.

The Toolbar will display the last_operationsRecent operations button which will become active.

Information about the copied object will appear in the list of recent operations.

If the names of objects match, the actions presented in  Tableare available:

Action

Description

Skip

Canceling a copy of an object with a matching name

Keep both

Saving the copied object with a new name

A digital index is added to the name of the object, for example, "New document (2)"

Replace

Replacing the contents of an existing file with the contents of the one being copied

As a result of the replacement:

1.A new version of the file will be created.

2.Previous versions of the file being replaced will remain in the version history.

3.The sharing settings and public links to the replaced file will continue to apply.

A document opened in the editor cannot be replaced. An error will appear

* It is not possible to cancel the Replace action.

 

To apply the selected action to all copied objects with matching names, select the Apply to all check box in the dialog box.

The Replace action can only be applied to files.
