A template file fully duplicates the original file and is used as a reference for creating other files. Templates are convenient to use if you need to several documents which share the same contents or formatting settings.

To create a template file, do the following:

1.Open or create the document to create your template from.

2.In the File menu, click Save as Template.

3.In the window that appears, specify the file name and location, if required.

4.Click Save.
