To limit the access to a document in the .xlsx, .ods or .xods formats, protect it with a password. Users will be requested to enter the password when opening the document.
Password-protected documents are not supported in the Cloud.
If a document is password-protected in a third-party application, it will be processed in the same way as a password-protected document in MyOffice Spreadsheet.
1.Open the document you want to protect with a password. 2.In the menu, click . 3.In the window that appears, enter the password in the box and confirm it. For security reasons, the password entered is displayed as markers. To display the password, click in the right end of the input box.
4.Click . Once the data entered has been successfully verified, you will be notified correspondingly. Save the document to apply changes. The next time the document is opened, you'll be asked to enter the password. |
To change a password in a password-protected document: 1.Open the document that you want to change the password for. 2.In the menu, click . 3.In the pop-up window that appears, click . 4.In the pop-up window that appears, enter the current password, a new password, and confirm the new password. For security reasons, the password entered is displayed as markers. To display the password, click in the right end of the input box.

When you open a password-protected document, a window for entering the password will appear on the screen. Enter the password and click . If the password is correct, the document will open in MyOffice Spreadsheet. If you enter a wrong password, you'll get a “” notification. Click to display the password you've entered and check it carefully. Try again. The number of attempts to enter a password for opening a document is not limited.
