New columns can be inserted to the left or to the right of the selected column.
To add new columns, follow these steps:
1.Select the column to the right or left of which you want to insert a new column. If you want to insert more than one column, select as many columns as you want to insert in the table. For example, if you want to insert two columns, select two columns. You can select both the entire columns and individual cells or ranges of cells.
2.Add columns in one of the following ways:
•In the Command menu, select / .
•On the Toolbar, select the section and click or .
•Right-click anywhere in the selected range. In the context menu, select / .
•Press + to insert a column to the left or press + to insert a column to the right.
To quickly add a column to the beginning or end of a table, follow these steps:
1.Select the table.
2.To add at the beginning of the table, execute the command in one of the ways described above. To add a column at the end of the table, execute the command in one of the ways described above.
