To delete one or more columns or rows, use one of the following methods:

1.Select the columns or rows or cells located in them. Then do one of the following:

On the Home tab, in the Table group, click the t_table_drop_menu_button Delete cell, column, or row drop-down menu button and select editor_delete_row_icon Delete row or editor_delete_column_icon Delete column.

Right-click anywhere in the selected range and run Delete row or Delete column command from the context menu.

When working in macOS, run the Format > Table > Delete row or Delete column command from the command menu.

Press Ctrl+Alt+U (Windows, Linux) or ⌥Option+⌘Cmd+U (macOS) to delete one or more columns. Press Ctrl+Alt+R (Windows, Linux) or ⌥Option+⌘Cmd+R (macOS) to delete one or more rows.

2.Select these columns or rows in their entirety and press Ctrl+ (Windows, Linux) or ⌘Cmd+ (macOS).
