It may happen that you need to have several elements on a slide to overlap or partially overlap each other. In this case, each element should have a precise position: in the foreground, in the background, or between other elements.

Bring Forward

To move the shape by one level forward as related to the other element, do one of the following:

In the Format menu, point to Arrange > Bring Forward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_forward Bring Forward button. In the drop-down list, select Bring Forward.

Right-click the shape and select Bring Forward in the context menu.

Press alt Option+shift Shift+command Cmd+F..

To place the shape in front of the other elements, do one of the following:

In the Format menu, point to Arrange > Bring to Front.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_forward Bring Forward button. In the drop-down list, select Bring to Front.

Right-click the shape and select Bring to Front in the context menu.

Press shift Shift+command Cmd+F.

Send Backward

To move the shape by one level back as related to the other element, do one of the following:

In the Format menu, point to Arrange > Send Backward.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_back Send Backward button. In the drop-down list, select Send Backward.

Right-click the shape and select Send Backward in the context menu.

Press alt Option.

To place the shape behind other elements, do one of the following:

In the Format menu, point to Arrange, and then click Send to Back.

On the Toolbar, select the Arrange section and click the arrow to the right of the move_back Send Backward button. In the drop-down list, select Send to Back.

Right-click the shape and select Send to Back in the context menu.

Press shift Shift+command Cmd+B.
