Endnotes are not supported

Adding the regular footnotes to any elements except tables, and footnotes is not allowed.

For regular footnotes, consecutive numbering is supported throughout the document. Arabic numerals are used for numbering.

To add a regular footnote to your document, follow these steps:

1.Specify where to insert the footnote in one of the following ways:

Place the mouse cursor at the desired location of the text.

Select the text fragment after which you want to insert a footnote.

Place the cursor or select the table cell to which you want to add a footnote.

Select the cell range to which you want to add a footnote. In this case, the footnote character will be placed after the last character of the lower right cell.

2.Add a footnote in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, select Insert > Footnote.

On the Toolbar, in the Insert section, click t_more. On the displayed insert pane, click the t_insert_footnote Footnote button.

Press alt Option+command Cmd+F.

3.A footnote symbol will appear at the specified location in the document and the footnote number will appear at the bottom of the page. Enter the footnote text after the footnote number.

If the document contains no other footnotes, the added footnote is assigned the number 1. If the document contains other footnotes, the added footnote is assigned a sequential number corresponding to its position relative to the other footnotes.

Delete the footnote mark in the main body of the document. The footnote number and text at the end of a page, section or document will be deleted automatically.

Select the footnote text or place the cursor anywhere in the footnote text at the end of a page, section, or document. Right-click the selected text and select Delete Footnote in the shortcut menu. The footnote mark will be automatically deleted in the main body of the document.
