You can apply styles or apply custom formatting to your texts.

Use styles to apply identical formatting options to a text elements of the text (headings, lists, names of images, and so on). A style is a modifiable preset of formatting parameters, such as font style and font size, text alignment, paragraph indents, character spacing, and others. When creating a new document, the Normal style is applied to the text by default.

Custom formatting means applying formatting options to the text and paragraphs in the document manually. Custom formatting is used along with style formatting.

Text style

Styles allow you to quickly apply the same formatting to different parts of the text throughout the document, for example, use styles to design the headings of different levels or links. MyOffice Text allows you to use the preset styles, as well as the custom styles for text styling.

Style selection

The Normal style is used by default whenever you create a new document. You can change the text style using the Quick Actions box or the Toolbar.

To change the style using the Toolbar:

1.Specify the text you want to change a style of:

To change the style for a single paragraph, place the cursor it or select the whole paragraph.

To change the style of multiple paragraphs, select these paragraphs entirely.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Styles section and select the style that you want to use from the list. Click the t_more and select the style from the drop-down list.

To change the style using the Quick Actions box:

1.Select the text you want to change the style of:

To change the style for a single paragraph, place the cursor it or select the whole paragraph.

To change the style of multiple paragraphs, select them entirely.

2.Click Quick Actions from the Help menu or press the command Cmd+/ key combination.

3.In the Quick Actions box, select the desired style using one of the following methods:

Start typing the name of the style in the search field. Once the required item appears in the search results, click it with the mouse or use the keyboard keys:

oClick the style line with the left mouse button.

oSelect the style line using the ↓ ↑ keys and press enter Enter.

Scroll down the list of commands till the end. In the style section, select your preferred style.

Create a style

MyOffice Text allows you to create a style based on the formatting of the text. You can select the text with desired formatting or just place the cursor on it to create a style. The new style is created with the preset name "Style 1", "Style 2", and so on.

To create a style:

1.Apply the formatting to a word or text fragment.

2.Select the word or fragment or place the cursor on it.

3.On the Toolbar, select the Styles and click t_more.

4.In the lower part of the drop-down list, click Create New Style.

The newly created style will appear in a drop-down list.

Edit a style

You can change the formatting options for any style manually.

To change a style:

1.Select a fragment of text where the style is applied.

2.Make the necessary adjustments to the formatting of the style.

3.On the Toolbar, select the Styles and click t_more.

4.In the drop-down list, place the cursor on the current style name and click t_style_refresh Update Style to Match Selection.

The changes you make to a style are automatically applied to all text fragments where it is applied.

Delete a style

You can only delete the custom styles.

To delete a style:

1.Select a fragment of text or place the cursor where the required style is applied.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Styles and click t_more.

3.In the drop-down list, place the cursor on the current style name and click t_style_delete Delete Style.

Once the style is deleted, the Normal style settings are applied to all text fragments formatted in the custom style.

Font

By default, XO Thames font is used when creating a document in MyOffice.

To quickly change the font, follow the steps below:

1.Select a fragment of text where you want to change the font.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click the field with the name of the current font.

3.Start typing the name of the desired font. The drop-down list will display a list of fonts matching the search conditions.

4.Select the desired font using the mouse or keyboard:

Left-click on the font name.

Select the font name using ↓ and ↑ keys and press enter Enter.

To select a font from the full list of fonts, follow the steps below:

1.Select a fragment of text where you want to change the font.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click expand button to the right of the current font name.

3.Select the desired font from the drop-down list using the mouse or keyboard:

Left-click on the font name.

Select the font name using ↓ and ↑ keys and press enter Enter.

It is recommended to use XO family fonts to preserve document formatting when working on other operating systems.

Font size

To change the font size, do the following:

1.Select a fragment of text where you want to change a font size.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click the arrow to the right of the current font size.

3.In the list that expands, select a desired font size.

If the required size is not on the list, you can set it manually. To set font size:

1.On the Toolbar, select the current font size value.

2.Enter the required value. Use a dot (.) as a delimiter for fractional values. For example, 21.5.

3.Click enter Enter.

To increase the font size by one point, follow one of the steps below:

In the Command menu, click Format, point to Fonts > Increase Font Size.

On the Toolbar, click editor_increase_icon Increase Font Size.

To decrease the font size by one point, follow one of the steps below:

In the Command menu, click Format, point to Fonts > Decrease Font Size.

On the Toolbar, click editor_decrease_icon Decrease Font Size.

Text formatting

MyOffice Text allows you to format text fragments in various ways to emphasize and distinguish them from the rest of the document content.

Font Color

To change the font color of text, follow these steps:

1.Select the desired text fragment.

2.To select the last color that was applied to the font, on the Toolbar, under Font section, click editor_font_color_icon_multiple Text Color.

3.To select a different color for the text, click the arrow to the right of the editor_font_color_icon_multiple Text Color button.

4.Select the desired color in one of the following ways:

Select the appropriate color in the Recent Colors block. This box displays the last five colors that were previously applied to the font.

Select the appropriate color in the Theme Colors block. This block displays the color palette of the current document's theme.

Click the More Colors button. In the Select Color box that opens, specify the desired color as a HEX code or in RGB format and click OK.

Highlight Color

When working on a document, you can highlight certain text fragments in different colors (marker style) to make them more visible against the background of the rest of the document content.

To highlight a text with color, do the following:

1.Select a required fragment of a text.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click the arrow to the right of editor_highlight_color_icon_no_color Highlight Color.

3.In the palette that expands, select a desired highlight color. The last four colors used are displayed above the palette.

To quickly highlight the text fragment with the last color used, do the following:

1.Select a required fragment of a text.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click editor_highlight_color_icon_no_color Highlight Color.

To remove highlighting from a text, do the following:

1.Select the text you want to remove highlighting from.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Font section and click the arrow to the right of the editor_highlight_color_icon_no_color Highlight Color button.

3.In the palette that expands, click No Color.
