Delete data

To delete one or more characters in a cell, use one of the following methods:

•Place the cursor after the characters you want to delete. Delete them by pressing the Delete button on the keyboard as many time as needed.

•Place the cursor before the characters you want to delete. Delete them by successively pressing the Fn+Delete keyboard shortcut on the keyboard.

To delete a word or its part in a cell, do one of the following:

•Place the cursor after the specific part of a word or after the word that you want to delete and press Cmd/ Option+Delete on the keyboard.

•Place the cursor before the specific part of a word or after the word that you want to delete and press Cmd/ Option+Fn+Delete on the keyboard.

To delete some text in a cell, do the following:

1.Select the desired text.

2.Press Delete or Fn+Delete on the keyboard.

To clear the content of the cell, do the following:

1.Select the cell or range to be cleared of data.

2.Press Delete on the keyboard.
