Selecting a print area

You can print the following elements:

Selection (specified manually).

Defined area (specified manually or selected automatically if the print area is set in the third-party editor).

Sheet (selected automatically if you did not specify the selection or the set area).

Print selection

1.Select a cell, a range of cells, rows or columns from which you want to print data.

2.Right-click the selected cells or the titles/contents of the selected rows/columns to open the context menu.

3.Click Print Selection in the context menu.

The Page Settings and Print window will open.

Print area

If you've set a print area in MyOffice Spreadsheet or in the third-party editor, this area will be printed automatically. To set the print area in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet editor, select Page Setup and click Print Area. To set the print area using LibreOffice Calc, select Format > Print ranges.

To set a print area in MyOffice Spreadsheet, do as follows:

1.Select the area on the sheet that you want to print.

2.In the Format menu, select Print area and click Define print area.

You need to specify the print area for each sheet in the spreadsheet separately.

The borders of the print area are highlighted with a blue frame. If needed, you can hide this frame:

1.In the Format menu, select Print area.

2.Uncheck the Print area borders box.

To display the frame, check this box again.

To modify the print area (for example, if the selected area is not correct), follow these steps:

1.In the Format menu, select Print area and click Clear print area.

2.Select the area once again as described above.

To print the defined area, open the Page Settings and Print window in one of the following ways:

In the File menu, select Page Settings and Print.

Press Ctrl+P.

The Page Settings and Print window will open.

Print the current sheet

1.Make sure that a print area has not been set for this document.

2.Open the Page Settings and Print window in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, select File > Page Settings and Print.

On the Toolbar, select the File section and click the arrow to the right of the t_file_print Quick Print button. In the drop-down list, select Page Settings and Print.

Press Ctrl+P.

The Page Settings and Print window will open.

Printing with presets

The Page Settings and Print dialog box contains:

Document preview section

Page settings section

If the sheet/selected fragment/set area that you want to print is empty or the data reside in hidden rows or columns, the Page Settings and Print dialog box will not open. Instead, the following notification will appear on the screen: “No data to print. Please make sure you have at least one page with data to print”.

Preview pane

The Page Settings and Print dialog box contains the Preview pane.

To control the preview, use the following buttons:

print_dialog_zoom_out and print_dialog_zoom_in: Zoom in or out the preview area.

Fit: Set the default page zoom.

print_dialog_next_page and print_dialog_previous_page: Move to the next or previous sheet.

Zooming does not affect the print area. The tool is intended for a detailed preview of a document content before printing.

You can resize the Page Settings and Print dialog box by dragging its borders.

Print settings

The options described in the table below are available within the Page Settings and Print dialog box.

Option

Designation

Printer

Select a printer from a drop-down list.

Printer properties

(Windows OS only). Open the printer settings window. The type and composition of the window parameters depend on the printer model selected in the field above. The settings specified in the printer settings window are automatically transferred to the corresponding fields of the Page Settings and Print window.

Print in Grayscale

Print the color text and images contained in the document in grayscale.

Copies

Set the number of copies you want to print.

Collated/Uncollated

This field is available when more than one copy is printed. Set the order in which pages are grouped during printing.

Collated: Print all pages grouped by copies (1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3).

Uncollated: Print pages grouped by page numbers (1,1,1 2,2,2 3,3,3).

Print Area

Print Area: Select the print area.

Defined Area: Print the defined area.

Entire Sheet: Print the sheet displayed on the screen.

Selection: Print the selected area on a sheet.

Pages or page range to be printed

This field is used if you want to print individual pages or page ranges of the selected sheet/area/fragment. Pages to be printed can be specified as follows:

Individual page numbers. For example: 5, 10, 12.

Page range where the values are separated by a hyphen. For example: 1-8, 10-11.

Pages from the beginning of the sheet/area/fragment to the specified as -<№>. For example, if -3 is entered in the field, pages 1-3 will be printed.

Pages from the specified page to the end of the sheet/area/fragment as -<№>. For example, if you enter a value of 3- in the field and the sheet/area/fragment contains 6 pages, then pages 3-6 will be printed.

Range

This field is not available when you want to print a selection. Possible ranges include:

All Pages: Print all the pages of the current sheet or print area.

Odd Pages Only, Even Pages Only: Print the document on a printer that doesn't support automatic double-sided printing. You can print the front sides of all the pages, turn the printed pages over, put them back into the printer, and print on the back sides.

Don't print blank pages

Don't print the pages without cells with data, elements (charts, images, or shapes) or a cell with borders and fill. This is a default option.

When the Don't print blank pages checkbox is checked/unchecked, blank pages are hidden/displayed in the preview area and the total number of pages is reduced/increased.

If you want to print individual pages/page range of the selected sheet/area/fragment, make sure that the Do not print blank pages check box is checked, and then specify the required pages/page range for printing, based on page numbering in the preview area.

Duplex Printing

Duplex Printing:

None: Only print one side of the page.

Long-Edge Binding: Print two sides of the page and flip the paper along the long edge.

Short-Edge Binding: Print two sides of the page and flip the paper along the short edge.

Scale

The settings depend on the option selected in the Print Area.

Under the Current Sheet, the Scale menu contains the following settings:

Fit to Page Breaks: Fit the content to the page breaks. If page breaks are inserted into a sheet using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet editor or LibreOffice Calc, the sheet is broken into pages according to these breaks.

If there are no page breaks on the sheet, then when you select Fit to Page Breaks, the entire content of the sheet will be printed on one page in a very small scale.

Custom Scale: Change the sheet scale on the page by adjusting the percentage value.

If you select Custom Scale and there are page breaks on the sheet (see the description of the settings above), the document is printed taking into account these page breaks.

Under the Selection, the Scale menu contains the following settings:

Actual Size.

Fit to Page: Fit the selection to a printed page.

Fit to Width: Fit all columns of the selection to a printed page.

Fit to Height: Fit all rows of the selection to a printed page.

The Page and Print Setup dialog box only contains the settings available for the selected printer.

Click Print to print the document or Cancel to close the window.

Page Settings

The Page Settings and Print dialog box contains the following page setup options:

Orientation: Select Portrait (vertical) or Landscape (horizontal) page orientation.

Paper Size: Select paper size for printing.

Top Margin, Bottom Margin, Left Margin, Right "f_xo_list_bullet"> Set the distance between the page edges and the contents.

You can save the current page setup for further printing. To save the setup and close the window, click Save. To print the document and save the setup, click Print.

When printing a selection, the page setup is only applied to the selection and cannot be saved for further printing sessions.

Quick Print

You can print a document with one click using default settings and without opening additional windows.

The following settings are used for Quick Print:

Default print settings.

The last printer used. If you did not use printer before, the default printer in your system is selected.

To quickly print the document, follow these steps:

On the Toolbar, select the File section and click t_file_print Quick Print.

On the Toolbar, select the File section and click the arrow to the right of the t_file_print Quick Print button. In the drop-down list, select Quick Print.
