Find

To find the data within the current document, do the following steps:

1.Open the find and replace pane in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, click Edit > Find.

Click side_panel_search Find and Replace on the Sidebar.

Press Ctrl+F.

2.Set the search parameters, if necessary:

Current sheet/All sheets: Perform the search in the currently opened sheet or in the entire document.

Match case: Perform the search in the text taking into account capital and small letters.

Match whole words only: Find whole words/values only, but not text that is part of another word/value.

3.Enter the data you are looking for in the Find field.The search results are highlighted in the document.

4.Use search_sidetab_nav below the find and replace boxes to navigate through the found fragments.

5.To close the find and replace pane, do one of the following:

Click side_panel_search_close at the top of the find and replace pane.

Click side_panel_search Find and Replace on the Sidebar.

Press Esc on the keyboard.

Replace

To find and replace text within the current document, follow the steps below:

1.Open the find and replace pane in one of the following ways:

In the Command menu, click Edit and then click Find.

Click side_panel_search Find and Replace on the Sidebar.

Press Ctrl+F.

2.Set the search parameters, if necessary:

Current sheet/All sheets: Perform the search in the currently opened sheet or in the entire document.

Match case: Perform the search in the text taking into account capital and small letters.

Match whole words only: Find whole words/values only, but not text that is part of another word/values.

3.Enter the text you are looking for in the Find box.

4.In the Replace with box, enter the text for replacement, or leave the box blank to delete the found text.

5.If you want to replace the text in the found text taking into account upper and lower case letters, check the option Match case when replacing option.

The case is only taken into account for the first character in the found word.

Example: You need to replace the word customer with the word client. The word customer, however, may be written both with lowercase and uppercase letters (e.g., at the beginning of a sentence). Select the Match case when replacing box to make sure that the capitalized word Customer is replaced with the capitalized word Client, and the lowercase word customer is replaced with the lowercase word client.

6.Replace the data in one of the following ways:

Click Replace to replace the data in the selected fragment.

Click Replace all to simultaneously replace the data in all the fragments found.

Part of a found value or part of a found result of a formula calculation cannot be replaced. The value or result of a formula calculation can only be replaced in its entirety.

7.To close the find and replace pane, do one of the following:

Click side_panel_search_close at the top of the find and replace pane.

Click side_panel_search Find and Replace on the Sidebar.

Press Esc on the keyboard.
