Ideas and comments on the text can be presented as written or audio comments. Users can also reply to each other's comments and create threaded discussions.
By default, all comments in the document are displayed in the Reviewing pane. To quickly move back and forth between comments, follow the same procedure as for quickly moving back and forth between changes.
Changing the display mode of the comments is done in the same way as changing the display mode of the changes.
When you copy text that contains a comment, the text is pasted to the new location along with the comment.
1.Place the cursor in the place where the comment is inserted or select the text to be commented. 2.Switch to the comments mode using one of the following methods: •In the Command menu, select Insert > Comment. •On the Toolbar, click •Right-click and select Add comment from the context menu. 3.In the field that appears to the right, enter the text of the comment. 4.Click Save in the comment field or left-click anywhere in the document. Comments basics: •Only text can be entered in the comment field (no attachment). •Formatting of comments is not supported. •Empty comments are automatically deleted from the document. A comment cannot be added in the following cases: •If the mouse cursor is at the beginning or end of the document. •If the mouse cursor is at the end of a line and there is a line break. •If the mouse cursor is in an empty line. •If no text is selected in the document. |
The replies to the comment are displayed in chronological order. It is only possible to reply to a comment but not to reply to another reply. To reply to a comment, follow these steps: 1.Select a comment to reply to in one of the following ways: •Click a comment or any reply to it. •Go to the comment using the •If the cursor is set on the Reviewing pane, go to the comment using the keyboard keys: ↓ and ↑. 2.Enter the text in the comment reply field. 3.To cancel entering the reply, press the Esc key. To save the reply, do one of the following: •In the reply field, click Save. •Click anywhere in the document. •Press Ctrl+Enter ( Replies basics: 1.If, while collaborating on a document, another user deletes a comment to which a reply is added, or deletes text to which a comment refers, the entire thread is deleted. 2.Empty replies are deleted automatically. 3.Long comments and answers are displayed in the Reviewing pane in an abbreviated form. To see the full text of the comment and any replies to it, click Show more. 4.If the thread contains more than two replies, it is automatically minimized and only the last reply is displayed on the Reviewing pane. To expand the thread, click Show n more replies. To collapse the thread, do one of the following: •Click anywhere in the document outside the thread. •Click on another comment or thread. •Go to another comment or thread using the •Navigate to another comment or thread using the keyboard keys: ↓ and ↑. |
To listen to the audio comment, click Audio comment on the Reviewing pane. The button will turn into a player, and the recording will start to play back. You can edit the document and listen to the audio comment at the same time. To stop the playback, click To fast-forward or rewind a recording, left-click the desired time mark on the playback bar. |
To edit a comment, move the cursor over the comment or select the comment field with the left mouse button and click The text of the comment will be available for editing. Change the text of the comment and click Save or left-click anywhere in the document. To exit the comment editing mode without saving changes, press the Esc key. If the user deleted the comment text and then clicked the Save button or left-clicked anywhere in the document, the comment will be deleted automatically.

A text comment can be copied to the clipboard. To copy the text of a comment, select the comment field by double-clicking the left mouse button, select the part of the comment that you want to copy, and do one of the following: •Right-click the selected comment and select Copy from the context menu. •Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+C ( To paste a copied comment, do the same as you would to paste text. |
Text with comments (both text and audio) can be copied within a document. Text comments can be copied between MyText documents. To copy the text with a comment, select the entire commented text. When copying a part of the commented text, the comment is not copied. The commented text is copied and pasted as usual. In the current version of the application it is not possible to copying comments added to tables.

If you want to delete any comment, move the cursor to the comment or select the comment field with the left mouse button and do one of the following: •Click the •In the Command menu, select Tools > Review > Delete comment. You can also switch to the comment edit mode, completely delete the comment text and click Save or left-click anywhere in the document. To remove all comments from a document, use one of the following methods: •In the Command menu, select Tools > Review > Delete all comments. •On the Control bar, select Delete all comments. |
Other corporate users can be mentioned in the comments and responses to them. To mention the user, do the following: 1.Enter the @ symbol in the comment text field. 2.Start entering the user's name or email address. 3.Select the desired recipient from the drop-down list. 4.Click the Save button. The mentioned user will receive a notification to their email (if the integration with mail services is set up) and a personal message via MySquadus (if integrated with MySquadus). The user mentioned will or will not be able to view the file depending on the access rights settings .
