Cut or copy the content

When you use the Cut command, the selected content is removed from the document and placed to the clipboard. When copying, the selected contents of the document do not change and their copies are placed to the clipboard.

The content copied or cut retains its formatting.

You can insert the data copied into "MyOffice Text", as well as into other applications, such as "MyOffice Spreadsheet".

To cut the content of the file:

1.Select the text that you want to cut.

2.Run the Cut command in one of the following ways:

On the Command menu, click Edit > Cut.

On the Toolbar, select the Edit section and click the t_edit_cut (Cut) button.

Right-click the selected text and then click Cut on the shortcut menu.

Press Ctrl+X or Shift+Delete.

To copy the content of the file:

1.Select the text that you want to copy.

2.Run the Copy command in one of the following ways:

On the Command menu, click Edit > Copy.

On the Toolbar, select the Edit section and click the t_edit_copy (Copy) button.

Right-click the selected text and then click Copy on the shortcut menu.

Press Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert.

Paste the content

Pre-copied or cut out data in the clipboard is available for inserting. You can paste data from the clipboard with or without saving the original formatting.

To insert the content while keeping its original formatting:

1.Place the pointer where you want to insert the content or select the text (object) you want to replace with data from the clipboard.

2.Paste the content in one of the following ways:

On the Command menu, select Edit > Paste.

On the Toolbar, select the Edit section and click the t_edit_paste (Paste) button.

On the Toolbar, select the Edit section and press the arrow to the right of the t_edit_paste (Paste) button. In the drop-down list, select the Paste command.

Right-click to open the context menu and click Paste.

Press Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert.

When you insert data without keeping the original formatting, only the text will be inserted from the clipboard. That means that when you insert tables, shapes with text or links, only the text which these elements contain will be inserted. If the text that you copy or cut contains images, they will not be inserted into the document.

The text inserted from the clipboard will be formatted using the style of the text where it is inserted.

To insert text without formatting, follow the steps below:

1.Place the pointer where you want to insert the content or select the text (object) you want to replace with data from the clipboard.

2.Paste the content in one of the following ways:

On the Command menu, select Edit > Paste Unformatted Text.

On the Toolbar, select the Edit section and press the arrow to the right of the t_edit_paste (Paste) button. In the drop-down list, select the Paste Unformatted Text command.

Right-click to open the context menu and click Paste Unformatted Text.

Clipboard history

The clipboard history is available in "MyOffice Text". It can store up to ten copied or cut entries with data of any type, such as tables, text, and images. Each further entry overwrites the oldest existing entry.

The clipboard history works between "MyOffice Text" and "MyOffice Spreadsheet". The list of slots is cleared after the application restarts.

Open and close the сlipboard history

To open the clipboard history, press Ctrl+Shift+Z.

Once the clipboard history window is opened, it remains visible until you close it. To close the clipboard history, click wind_close on the right-hand corner of the window.

If you close the clipboard window by mistake, the entries it stores will not be deleted. The data will be deleted after you leave the "MyOffice Text" application.

Change the location of the clipboard history window

Once opened, the clipboard history window is placed next to the selected fragment of the document. To change its location, drag and drop the window where you want while holding down the left mouse button.

Clipboard navigation

To switch between the document editing area and the clipboard window, use the Tab key.

In the clipboard window, use keyboard arrows to select the desired slot and the Enter key to insert the selected slot.

Delete the content

To delete the content:

1.Select the content that you want to delete.

2.Press Delete or Backspace on the keyboard.
