To simplify navigation, you can create links to a specific location in the document, such as a sheet, cell, or named range.
To create a link to a place in a document, follow these steps:
1.Specify the place to insert the link using one of the following methods:
•Select an empty cell or place the cursor in the cell.
•If the cell is not empty, move the cursor to the desired location.
•To format the entire text in a cell as a link, select this cell.
2.Execute the link insertion command using one of the following methods:
•In the Command menu, select Insert > Link.
•On the Toolbar, click .
•Right-click to open the context menu and select Insert link.
•Press Ctrl+K ( Cmd+K).
3.In the Insert link window, select the Place in this document tab.
4.To insert a link to a sheet, make sure that the Sheet option is selected and choose the required sheet from the list.
5.To insert a link to a cell, select the respective option.Then in the Cell field enter the address manually or click , and select the required cells in the document itself, and then click
again to insert the address in the field.
6.To insert a link to a named range, select Named range and select the desired range from the list.
7.In the Text field:
•If the field is not filled in and you need to create a link with the name of the sheet, leave the field blank.
•If the field is not filled in and you need to specify the link text, enter the text manually.
•If the field is filled with text from the selected cell/text selected in the cell/the word on which the cursor is positioned, then edit this text if necessary or leave it unchanged.
6.Click OK.
You can follow the link in one of the following ways:
•Hold the cursor over the link and click on it.
•Right-click the context menu and run the Edit link command.
•Сlick the link while holding down the Ctrl ( Cmd) key.
To edit the link, follow these steps:
1.Open the link editing window using one of the following methods:
•Place the cursor in the cell, hold it over the link and click .
•Select the cell, right-click the context menu and run the Edit link command.
2.In the Edit link window:
•In the Link to field, select the desired option.
•In the Text field, edit the link text (if needed).
3.Click OK.
To delete a link, place the cursor in the cell and delete the text. Or select a cell and press the Delete key.
