In MyOffice Spreadsheet, you can sort and filter data on the sheet you are working on.

Identify sort and filter range

To select the Sort and Filter range:

1.Select the range of cells that will contain all the data to be sorted and filtered.

The upper line of the range marked as editor_filter_on_drop_active is not involved in the Sort and Filter. The Sort and Filter range cannot consist of one line.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Data section and click editor_filter_icon Sort and Filter. The button will change to t_data_clear_filter.

The active Sort and Filter range on the sheet is as follows:

Headings of rows and columns are highlighted in green.

A green frame appears around the range.

Automatic detection of the Sort and Filter range

MyOffice Spreadsheet can automatically detect the Sort and Filter range if the cells adjacent to the selected one contain data. Data in adjacent cells can be of any format.

To automatically detect the range:

1.Select an empty cell bordering the range.

2.On the Toolbar, select the Data section and click editor_filter_icon Sort and Filter. The button will change to t_data_clear_filter.

Filter

Using filtering, you can hide or unhide the selected cells in the column.

To filter data:

1.Click editor_filter_on_drop_active in the upper cell of the column to be filtered.

2.In the opened window, uncheck the Clear All box.

3.Check the boxes with values to be displayed in the column.

4.If there are too many values on the list, use the search field:

Enter the value you want to find (in full or partially). For example, to find the number 123, you can enter the numbers 12, 23 or 123 in the search field.

Check the values to be displayed in the column in the search results.

To find and check other values, repeat the procedure.

5.Click ОК.

To display all the data in the column, open the Sort and Filter window once again and check the Select All box.

Update the filter

If the values in the selected range have changed, you can reapply a filter to the data without reconfiguring the filter itself. For this purpose:

1.On the Toolbar, select the <%T_DATA% section and click the arrow to the right of the editor_filter_icon Sort and Filter button.

2.Select the Refresh option from the drop-down menu.

Sort

When sorting, the selected values in the column are arranged in the ascending (from A to Z) or descending (from Z to A) order.

To sort data in a column:

1.Click editor_filter_on_drop_active in the upper cell of the column.

2.In the opened setting window, select the sorting mode:

Ascending: Sort the data in ascending order.

Descending: Sort the data in descending order.

Clear or remove filters

To clear or remove the current Sort and Filter range, on the Toolbar, select the Data section and click t_data_clear_filter Sort and Filter. The button will change to editor_filter_icon.

When you finish working with a range, only the sorting results will be displayed in the spreadsheet.
