Any email can be assigned with a special mark reflecting its importance. All emails sent have the Default priority level, unless the user chooses another one. To change the priority settings of an email, set the priority level while creating the email. Click the priority button 46 to the right of the email subject and select the desired value from the drop-down list:

Emails with high priority are displayed in the recipient's email list with the 43 mark, whereas emails with low priority are marked 45.
