Create a calendar

To create a new calendar:

1.In the left part of the window, next to the name of the My Calendars section, click knpk_new_calendar (Add a calendar) .

2.In the menu that opens, select New Calendar.

3.In the window that appears, place the pointer in the Title field and enter the name of the calendar you are creating.

4.Place the pointer on the Description field and enter a brief description of the calendar you are creating (the field is optional).

5.From the palette, select a color to display calendar events.

6.Click the Create.

The newly created calendar will be displayed on the calendar navigation panel in the My Calendars section.

In order for calendar events to be displayed on the time coordinate grid, connect this calendar by checking the box to the left of its name. To disable the calendar, uncheck the box.

Import Calendar box

To import (download) an external calendar:

1.Click the knpk_new_calendar (Add a calendar), located next to the name of the My calendars section.

2.In the menu that opens, select Import.

3.In the form that opens:

In the Add to field select the name of the calendar to which the external calendar data will be imported from the drop-down list. If the data needs to be imported into a separate calendar, select New Calendar (installed by default).

Click the left mouse button in the Filefield, in the standard system window that opens, specify the calendar file in .ics format and click Open.

4.Click the Import.

The external calendar will be imported, and the events already contained in the user calendar will be saved.

Edit a calendar

To edit the calendar:

1.Click the 8_8 (Settings and access) button located to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the form that opens, make the necessary changes (name, description, color of the calendar).

3.Click anywhere on the screen outside of the form that you made changes to.

Set the default calendar

If the My Calendars section contains several calendars, you can set one of them as the main calendar.

The main calendar is the calendar in which new events are created by default and where the invitations to the events are sent. The main calendar is always displayed at the top of the My Calendars list.

To set the calendar as the main calendar:

1.Click the 8_8(Settings and sharing) to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the opened form, move the Default calendar switch to the right.

The form with calendar settings will close and the calendar will move to the top of the My Calendars list.

Calendar Sharing

The user can grant access to the calendar to users from theColleaguesaddress book.Providing access to users with email addresses of external mailboxes is not possible. General and individual access to the calendar can be granted simultaneously, provided that users are granted different rights. If the public access rights and the access rights for individual users are the same, the access rights will be combined.

To grant access to the calendar to other users:

1.Click the 8_8 (Settings and access) button located to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the form that opens, click the Manage hyperlink in the Shared access field. The access sharing form will open on the screen.

3.To provide shared access to the calendar:

In the Access for all users section, select the desired access character value and toggle the slider on the right side of the row.

Confirm the granting of access in the window that opens by clicking Yes.

4.To provide individual access to the calendar:

In the Access for individual users section specify the names or email addresses of users who are granted access on individual terms.

Select the desired access type value to the right of the selected addresses and click Add button.

If necessary, repeat the steps, providing the necessary type of rights for new users.

5.Click Close button.

During the operation, the email addresses of users who are provided with individual access to the calendar are automatically checked. If there are external mailboxes in the list of users with email addresses, on the access grant form:

A warning will be displayed about the inability to grant access to external users with a suggestion to exclude such users from the list;

The email addresses of external mailboxes will be highlighted in red.

To continue the operation, remove users with email addresses of external mailboxes from the list before clicking the Add button.

As a result of the operation, the calendar will be available to all users under the conditions specified in the Access for all users section, as well as selected users on individual terms specified in the Access for individual users section.

To terminate the access rights of other users, repeat the operation while specifying the necessary data (removing the rights).

Calendars that have been opened to an active user by other users are displayed with the name of the calendar owner in the Shared with me section of the calendar navigation pane. They are connected and disconnected by setting/unchecking the checkbox in their line.

Get a link to the calendar

To get a link to your calendar:

1.Click the 8_8 (Settings and access) button located to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the form that opens, copy the link by clicking Copy (Copy) to the right of the link in the CalDAV link field.

Export a calendar

In order to export (save as a separate file) the calendar:

1.Click the 8_8 (Settings and access) button located to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the form that opens, click the Export button.

3.In the standard system window that opens, specify the folder where you want to save the calendar file, if necessary, change the file name (by default, the current calendar name is specified) and click Save.

The file in the iCalendar format will be exported to the specified folder.

Delete a calendar

To delete a created calendar:

1.Click the 8_8 (Settings and access) button located to the right of the calendar name.

2.In the form that opens, click the Delete.

The operation is only available for your own calendars.

Enable/disable an available calendar

In order to find calendars that an active user has been granted access to by other users:

1.Click the knpk_new_calendar (Add a calendar) in the Shared with me line.

2.In the window that opens, select a calendar from the list of available calendars by switching the slider on the right side of the desired calendar line. To search for the desired calendar in the list, enter the search criteria (the name of the calendar or part of the email address of the user whose available calendars are supposed to be found). Search results will be automatically displayed below the search bar as data is entered.

3.To exit the form for connecting available calendars, click the Close button.

Connected calendars are displayed with the name of the calendar owner in the Shared with me section of the calendar navigation pane.

To disable access to another user's calendar, repeat the operation by switching the slider to the inactive state in the line of the desired calendar.
