The user can delete different types of address books. However, the ability to recover deleted address books depends on their type:
–Local address books: the user can delete any local address books. Deleted local address books can be recovered if you have previously saved or backed them up.
–CardDAV address books: the user can disconnect or delete connections to CardDAV servers. However, contact data will not be deleted from the CardDAV server itself. When reconnecting to the server, the contacts will be restored.
–LDAP address books: the user can delete connections to LDAP directories. But since LDAP directories are centralized server systems, deleting connections to them in the application will not delete the contacts on the server. To restore access to an LDAP directory, you need to re-configure the connection to it in the application.
Delete or disconnect the address book
To delete or disable the address book:
1.On the Address Book tab, on the Address Book Pane, select an address book.
2.Press Del and confirm the deletion.
The address book will be removed from the application. If a CardDAV or LDAP address book was selected, it will remain on the server.
You can also delete an address book via the context menu.
