Messages can be assigned various tags: either preset (for example, "Important" or "Personal"), or manually created. Messages marked with tags can be quickly found in the list using the tools located on the Quick Filter pane.

Assign a tag

To assign a tag to one or more messages, select the messages in the list and do one of the following:

Select the Menu Bar item Message > Tag. In the sub-menu that opens, check the required tag.

Right-click the message line, select the context menu item Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, check the required tag.

On the Toolbar, сlick Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, check the required tag.

If one message is selected in the list, in the viewing area of the message, click more More actions. Select Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, check the desired tag.

To quickly set preset labels, you can use the keyboard buttons with numbers 1-5. For this:

1.Select one or more messages in the list.

2.On the keyboard, press the number corresponding to the label that you want to set for the selected messages:

1 Important

2 Work

3 Personal

4 To Do

5 Later

Create a tag

To create a new tag, follow these steps:

1.Open the Preferences tab in one of the following ways:

Select the Menu Bar item Message > Tag > Manage Tags.

Right-click the line of any message and execute the context menu command Tag > Manage Tags.

On the Toolbar, сlick Tag. In the drop-down list, select the Manage Tags command.

If one message is selected in the list, in the viewing area of the message, click more More actions. Select Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, select the Manage Tags command.

2.In the Preferences tab, сlick New.

3.In the New Tag window, specify the name and color of the tag and click ОК.

To create and assign a new tag to a message, follow these steps:

1.Select the message to which you want to assign a new tag.

2.Open the window for creating a new tag using one of the following methods:

Select the Menu Bar item Message > Tag > New.

Right-click the message line and execute the context menu command Message > Tag > New.

On the Toolbar, сlick Tag. In the drop-down list, select New Tag.

If one message is selected in the list, in the viewing area of the message, click more More actions. Select Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, select New Tag.

3.In the New Tag window, specify the name and color of the tag and click ОК.

Edit a tag

You can change the name and/or color of any tag as needed.

To edit a tag, do the following:

1.Open the Preferences tab in one of the following ways:

On the Menu Bar select Message > Tag > Manage Tags.

Right-click any message line and execute theTag > Manage Tags context menu command.

On theToolbarSelect Tag. In the opened drop-down list, select Manage Tags.

If one message is selected in the list, on thethe message preview area click more More actions. Select Tag. In the opened sub-menu, select Manage Tags.

2.In the Preferences window, select the desired tag and click Edit.

3.In the Edit Tag window, change the name and the color of the tag and click ОК.

Find messages with tags

Use the filtering and sorting tools to quickly find tagged messages.

To display only tagged messages in the list, on the Quick Filter Bar click label Tags. To cancel the filter rule, click this button again.

To sort messages by tag, click the Tag column header. All tagged messages will appear at the end of the message list. If you click the Tag column header again, all messages with tags will be displayed at the beginning of the list.

To cancel the sorting by label, sort the messages in the list by another attribute (for example, the date).

Remove a tag

To remove the tag set for a message, follow these steps:

1.Select the email on the list.

2.Remove the tag in one of the ways described in section Assign a tag.

To remove tags from all messages in the list, do one of the following:

On the Menu Bar select Message > Tag > Remove All Tags.

Right-click any message line and execute the Tag > Remove All Tags context menu command.

On the Toolbar, click Tag. In the opened drop-down list, select Remove All Tag.

If one message is selected in the list, on the message preview area click more More actions. Select Tag. In the opened sub-menu, select Remove All Tag.

Press 0.

Delete a tag

Any tag can be deleted. To do this, follow these steps:

1.Open the Preferences tab in one of the following ways:

Select the Menu Bar item Message > Tag > Manage Tags.

Right-click the line of any message and execute the context menu command Tag > Manage Tags.

On the Toolbar click Tag. In the drop-down list, select the Manage Tags command.

if one message is selected in the list, in the viewing area of the message, click more More actions. Select Tag and in the sub-menu that opens, select the Manage Tags command.

2.In the Preferences tab, select the desired tag and click Delete.
