Opening
–Select a message from the Message List.
Message header
The message header contains elements:
–Reply button: create a reply to the sender of the message.
–Reply to All button: create a reply to the sender and all recipients of the message.
–Forward button: forward the message as part of an e-mail.
–Archive button: move the message to the archive.
–Junk button: mark the message as junk.
–Delete button: delete the message.
–More button: additional actions with the message:
•Redirect: create a copy of the message to redirect it to another address.
•Tag: assign a custom tag to the message.
•Mark as Read or Unread: mark the message as read or unread.
•Save as: save the message to the device in EML format.
•Print: Print the message.
•Convert To: Convert the message to an event or task.
•View Source: view the source code of the message.
•Repair Text Encoding: correct the text encoding of the message if it is not displayed correctly.
•Message Body As: toggle whether the message content is HTML or plain text.
•Customize: customize the display of elements in the message header (for example, field names).
– button: mark the message with a star.
–From: address of the sender of the message.
–To: addresses of the main recipients of the message.
–Date and time the message was received.
–Cc field: addresses of the recipients of the copy of the message.
Address context menu
The address context menu can be accessed by clicking the name or address of a user in the message header.
The address context menu allows you to perform the following actions on the user:
–Add to Address Book or Edit Contact: add a contact to the address book or edit an already added contact.
–Compose Message To: open a Message Composition Window for the selected contact.
–Copy Email Address: copy the address of the selected contact to the clipboard.
–Copy Name and Email Address: copy the name and address of the selected contact to the clipboard.
–Discover OpenPGP Key: search for an OpenPGP key based on the contact's data.
–Create Filter From: open the window to create filter rules based on the selected address.
Invitation pane
If an email contains an invitation to an event, an invitation pane with buttons is displayed in the Message View Area:
–Accept: confirm participation in the event. The context menu of the button allows you to change the participation status without sending a reply to the organizer.
–Tentative: confirm possible participation in the event. The context menu of the button allows you to change the participation status without sending a reply to the organizer.
–Decline: refuse to participate in the event. The button context menu allows you to change the participation status without sending a reply to the organizer.
–More: additional actions on the invitation:
•Save a copy: save a copy of the event to the calendar regardless of the response to the organizer. The list of participants will be cleared.
•Don't show me these messages: opt out of seeing messages with invitations.
Message body
The message body can contain message text, images and interactive HTML elements.
Attachment Panel
The Attachments Pane contains elements:
–> or ⌄ button : expand or collapse the Attachments Pane.
–Number and size of attachments.
–Save or Save All button: Save attachments to the device.
–A list of attachments with file name and size.
The attachment context menu allows you to perform additional actions with attachments: open, save, separate, or delete.
