The application allows you to archive messages — that is, move messages from their current folder to a target archive folder.
The archive can be located either in your account's mailbox (in the case of IMAP accounts, this refers to the mail server) or in a local folder (i.e. a folder on your device).
Using a local folder for archiving will help avoid exceeding your mail server quota. Archived messages are indexed by the application search.
You can perform the same actions on archived messages as you can on other folders.
To move messages to the archive:
1.On the Mail tab, in the Message List, select one or more messages. The content of the messages opens in the Message View Area.
2.In the message viewing area, click the Archive button.
The messages will be moved to the specified folder in the archive (see below).
You can also send the selected messages to the archive in the following ways:
–From the Main Menu, select Message > Archive.
–From the context menu of one of the selected messages, select Archive.
–Press A on the keyboard.
Customize the archive location
Changing the location only affects messages that are archived afterward, but you can archive messages from the old archive folder again to move them to the new folder.
To customize the location of archived messages for an email account:
1.From the ☰ MyOffice Mail menu, select Account Settings. The Account Settings tab opens.
2.In the left pane, for the desired account, select Copies & Folders.
3.In the Message Archives section, select the Keep message archives in checkbox, and then select the location of the archive - either in your account's mailbox or in a local folder.
4.If you want to disable this feature completely, clear the Keep archived messages in checkbox. After this, you will not be able to automatically move messages to archive folders using the archive feature.
Customize the archive folder structure
To define the archive folder structure:
1.In the Message Archives section, click Archiving options.
2.Select the desired value for the When archiving messages, place them in:
•A single folder: in a single archive folder.
•Yearly archived folders: into separate folders by the year in which the messages were sent.
•Monthly archived folders: in separate folders by year and month to which messages were sent.
3.If you want to keep your current mail folder organization when archiving messages in an archive folder, select the Keep existing folder structure of archived messages checkbox.
If you have configured additional addresses for your email account, the archive location and folder structure can be configured separately for each address.
