Insert an image as a new object

In addition to inserting ready-made images, you can insert a new image into a spreadsheet document by creating it as a new embedded object using an external application. To do this, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the cell or range of cells to align the upper-left corner of the object with. If a range has been selected, the object will be aligned relative to the active cell.
  2. On the Insert tab, click t_insert_object Embedded object and select an external application from the list depending on the format of the image you want to add.
  3. Perform the necessary actions in the external application, then save the new file and close the external application.

When you insert an image, it is anchored to the cell into which it was inserted (please refer to the Anchor graphic objects to cells section).
