Paste the copied image

To paste an image copied to the clipboard, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the image from the source.
  2. Select the cell or range of cells to align the upper-left corner of the image with. If a range has been selected, the image will be aligned relative to the active cell.
  3. Insert the image in one of the following ways:
    • On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click t_home_paste Insert or click the arrow to the right of the t_home_paste Insert button and run the Insert command.
    • Right-click to open the context menu and run the command.
    • Press Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert.

After pasting from the clipboard, the image is not anchored to the cell into which it was pasted. Additionally, if you copy an anchored image and then paste it, the anchor is removed.
