Delete a chart or a chart element or a chart element

To delete the entire chart, follow these steps:

  1. Select the chart.
  2. Delete it in one of the following ways:
    • On the Home tab, in the Edit group, click t_edit_delete Delete.
    • Right-click the chart and select Delete chart from the context menu.
    • Press Delete or Backspace.

To delete a chart element, do the following:

  1. Select the chart.
  2. Double left-click in the chart area to switch to the chart editing mode.
  3. Delete it in one of the following ways:
    • Select the chart element by left-clicking it and, on the Home tab, in the Edit group click t_edit_delete Delete.
    • Right-click the chart element and run the Delete <Element name> command from the context menu.
