Non-printable characters

Non-printable characters are conditional formatting characters that are used to organize slide content but are not displayed when printing the presentation and slideshow. Non-printable characters are useful to display when editing slides, for example to avoid double spaces in text.

To display or hide non-printable characters, do the following:

1. Select any element of the slide or place the cursor in it.
2. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click . Non-printable characters.

Non-printable characters that are used in MyPresentation are shown in the table below.
