Add guides
By default, there are no guides on the slide.
To quickly add a horizontal or vertical guide, do the following:
- Hover your mouse cursor over the top or left ruler to make it look like a double-headed arrow.
- Hold down the left mouse button and drag the cursor to the place where the guide should appear.
- Release the left mouse button to set the position of the guide.
To add a guide with precise indication of the offset from the top or left edge of the slide, do the following:

Right-click anywhere in the workspace to open the context menu.

Run the Guides > Add guide command.

In the Add guide window, specify:
- Guide type: Horizontal or Vertical.
- Edge offset: For horizontal guides, from the top edge of the slide; for vertical guides, from the left edge. You can enter the value manually, change it using the counter, the
↑and↓keyboard keys, or by scrolling the mouse wheel. The value should not exceed the length and height of the slide.
