Add calculated column to smart table

You can quickly add the same formula to all cells in a smart table column. This will make the column calculable.

Make a smart table column a calculated column​

  1. Ensure the target column in the smart table is empty.
  2. Select any cell in that column.
  3. Enter the desired formula and press Enter.

The formula will automatically fill down to all cells in the column.

When you edit the formula in any cell of that column, the change is automatically propagated to the entire column.

If you manually enter data (not a formula) into some cells or delete formulas from the column, it will cease to be a calculated column.
