Recalculate formulas

By default, formulas are recalculated automatically whenever data changes. If a document is large, automatic recalculation can slow down performance. In this case, you can switch to manual calculation mode.

  • Automatic mode (default): formulas are updated immediately when data changes or when a file is opened.
  • Manual mode: formulas are not recalculated automatically. When data changes, their results are marked as obsolete. Recalculation occurs only by your command.

When working with a document in the cloud, only automatic mode is available.

You can configure the calculation mode using the Calculation mode menu on the Data tab.
