Save as template

You can save an open file as a template. A template is a copy of a document with preserved formatting, which can be used to quickly create new files of the same type.

Save a file as a template

1. From the Menu, select Save as template.
2. In the window that opens, enter a template name.
3. If needed, click the Edit button to select a different folder for saving.
4. Click one of the buttons to complete the operation:

• Save — to save the template in the specified folder.
• Save and open — to save the template and immediately start editing it.

Template details

• The template is saved in the app's internal format (XOTP, XOTT, or XOTS).
• The DOCX, ODT, PPTX, ODP, XLSX, and ODS formats are not supported for saving as a template.
