Working with charts

You can create clear visualizations of your data by building various types of charts. Any chart can be selected on the sheet with a mouse click—it will be highlighted by a blue frame, after which you can begin editing it or changing its position and size.

Available chart types

The application supports all basic chart types. Each type can have several templates for optimal data presentation:

  • Column chart: ideal for comparing discrete data across categories.
  • Bar chart: useful for comparing values or displaying rankings.
  • Line chart: suitable for displaying trends and changes in data over time.
  • Area chart: emphasizes the magnitude of change and the total across data series.
  • Pie and Doughnut charts: show the proportion of parts to a whole.

Copy, cut, paste a chart

You can perform these actions using standard clipboard tools.

To ensure data is displayed correctly, paste charts only within a single XODS format file. Pasting into a different file or application will break the links to the data ranges.
